First qualifier I had trouble getting into a groove early and ended up with a less than satisfying 3rd for the round. In the 2nd qualifier I managed to slow my pace a bit and ended up much better off, not really making any mistakes and almost obtaining the ever sought after 35 laps (a benchmark on every layout at our track) which put me in the TQ position.
Off the start myself and position 2 managed to separate ourselves from the pack and set down a blistering pace. After only a few laps we started dealing with lapped traffic and we started trading positions due to line choice. We battled for 4:45 of the 5 minuter main and at the end he made a mistake and I was able to cruise to the win for the last 3 laps. I ended up hitting the 35 lap mark in the main and walking away with the victory. The XB2 was fast and super easy to drive!
